WIIICKED!

"Wicked" the musical casts its spell in Manila!

First time I watched this was two years ago in Singapore with my 2 best friends, Regine & Kristel. We never really had plans of going to Singapore, but when i knew Wicked was there, i really asked them to come with me since we have been longing to go somewhere out-of-town, so we took the chance. I was stoked last year when i found out Manila's running Wicked for a few weeks. I wasn't so sure about watching Manila's show, not because I was able to watch it already -- watching broadway shows even if  i have to repeat a show a million times is one of my greatest dreams in life -- i had second doubts, because I knew by that time i was gonna be back in my hometown. So i didn't really stress it out.

Last week of January, I had to be summoned in Manila by some people for WHD work. My dad's sister and his aunt had tickets to Manila by the 7th of February, to watch Wicked. Unfortunately for my aunt, she had to attend an important class, so she had to give away her ticket. Haaah ^_^ So yeah, i extended my stay in Manila, and if it weren't for my aunt, i wouldn't be able to watch Wicked again. :-) She was also the reason why i was able to watch another broadway musical called "Phantom Of The Opera" I owe her my broadway experiences! I loooove the theatre SO MUCH, i can sing and act, so it frustrates me how i never really pursued my broadway dreams. hahaha ;p

i JUST had to be in "Green & Black" to match colours with the Wicked Witch!

My 2 wicked tickets! I had kept my Singapore ticket in my wallet, safe and secured for a very long time. I intend to keep 'em for a lifetime, in shaa Allah. :-)

Im the type of person who would never spend too much on material things such as expensive designer bags, shoes, dresses if I had extra money. I mean, they're amazing creations by brilliant people, but I dunno personally, id be disgusted with myself if bought one for me hihi. I mean it's okay for me to buy one IF i had extra money for my loved ones, like my mom (whom i know will definitely refuse to receive one from me because she knows it's wasted money instead of buying other things in a similar amount. haha) I think i got it from my family who would never spend too much for such flashy things because i guess we know it'll be worthless in the end, we can't take them to our graves. ;-p haha one thing my husband is very lucky of. ;-)  Lol! Anyway, I'm just saying.. if opportunities like this ever came, I should never hesitate to go for it. FOR ME, travelling, exploring good restaurants and awesome food, watching and experiencing shows like this, these are the things in life that are worthy of your money, because they're precious MEMORIES. something you can keep even until you grow old.

Peace, Light & Love,
Adieu!
Mara xx
